ReOrbit Appoints Lucy Edge as Chief Operating Officer

ReOrbit, a leading provider of software-enabled satellites for secure communications, has appointed Lucy Edge as Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective 1 April 2025.

Lucy previously served as Chief of Missions and Deputy CEO at the Satellite Applications Catapult. Before that, she played a key role in the success of Avanti Communications, where she contributed to designing and launching satellites, as well as establishing and running the Avanti Communications Spacecraft Operations Centre.  

“Lucy brings extensive expertise in spearheading delivery capabilities, optimising end-to-end processes, building and managing manufacturing facilities, and overseeing fleet and operations infrastructure during periods of rapid growth and change in the space industry—key assets that will help transition our company to the next level of production efficiency,” said Sethu Saveda Suvanam, CEO and Founder of ReOrbit.

Lucy holds a degree in Physics and transitioned into spacecraft engineering through a Master’s program. She began her career at the UK’s defence agency before joining the European Space Agency in Germany as a flight dynamicist. She later returned to the UK to work with Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd on their small GEO concept.
